The Ullswater Way is a 20-mile circular walking route that traces the shoreline of Ullswater, often celebrated as one of England’s most picturesque lakes.
Spanning the full 20 miles around Ullswater, the Ullswater Way is designed to be flexible, accommodating both seasoned hikers and casual walkers.
The route can be undertaken in its entirety over a day or divided into shorter sections with convenient access to local villages and transport links, including bus services and the iconic Ullswater ‘Steamers’. This accessibility allows participants to tailor their journey, combining walking with leisurely boat trips or bus ride.
