County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust would like to say thank you to everyone who has kindly donated books to support patients and visitors across our hospitals.
Thanks to the generosity of staff, patients, local businesses, and members of the community, we have been able to provide a growing number of books for patients of all ages. These donations help create moments of comfort, distraction and joy for people during what can often be a difficult time.
From children’s stories to thrillers and classics, these books are now being shared in waiting areas and wards across our sites, offering patients a simple but powerful way to relax and pass the time.
Rich Jones, Charity Manager said: “Something as small as a book can make a huge difference to someone’s hospital stay. We’re so grateful to everyone who’s taken the time to donate and support our charity.”
