Our small but dedicated NHS charity team is constantly busy, networking, building new contacts, and working tirelessly to meet needs across various wards and departments in our eight hospitals and communities.

From vital office administration, taking donations and making calls, organising collections to attending large local events like the Woolsingham show, we engage with the public, sharing stories and experiences that highlight the invaluable role of the NHS in people's lives.

Why volunteer with us?

Despite our efforts, we urgently need more volunteers to support us. Collaborating with the Trust's volunteer coordinator, we are expanding our volunteer base, focusing not on hospital-based roles but within the charity itself and wider community.

While we have a loyal group of volunteers, we warmly welcome anyone willing to contribute, regardless of the time you can commit.

Opportunities for everyone

We value every volunteer, regardless of their skills or confidence levels. Whether you excel at front-of-house tasks like running fundraisers or prefer behind-the-scenes roles like organising events, or administration there's a place for you here.

Making an impact part-time

Among our most impactful volunteers are part-time. Their contributions have helped us strengthen our connections with schools for example, inspiring future generations to consider careers in the NHS. From fundraising initiatives to spreading joy through Christmas cards, our volunteer efforts reach deep into our hospitals and wider communities, reminding patients and staff that they're not alone.

Join our team of volunteers

No matter your background or availability, there's a role for you within our volunteering team. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or commit to specific campaigns, projects or events, your contribution will make a meaningful difference. Together, we can continue to support our NHS Trust Charity's vital work, ensuring that everyone receives the care and support they deserve.
